Occupational Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy Management Policy

As Anadoluhisari Tankercilik A.Ş. our mission is to provide reliable and efficient management, combined with optimum operational safety.

It is the Policy of Anadoluhisari Tankercilik A.Ş. that in providing management, crewing, training and consultancy services in the marine sector, the highest priority will be given to the need to protect the health, safety and welfare of its employees and other involved persons, and to conserve the environment.

In order to achieve this, we target zero personal injuries, work related illness, avoidable damage to the environment, property and equipment; and minimising their impact should they occur. To support this policy, the Company promotes and practices positive measures to:

  • • Comply with, and where possible, seek to improve upon, all applicable international, national, Flag State, state, local laws and regulations, considering customer requirements, our own high standards and the impacts that our Operations may have on people and the environment.
  • • Control the risk of any possible personal injury, work related illness, damage to the environment, propert and equipment by conducting risk assessments of activities and changes, developing safe working practices and providing contingency plans to ensure effective response to adverse situations if they arrise.
  • • Co-operate with maritime organisations and governmental trade and industry associations in order to maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
  • • Ensure all employess conform to high standards of health, safety and environmental and quality management. Individual responsibilities are defined in job descriptions and will be emphasised through traiing programmes and through performance and development reviews. The Company expects its contractors to follow these high standards.
  • • Maintain programmes to monitor, measure and review the management system, vessel and staff performance in order to ensure continual suitability and improvement and demontrate compliance with the Company’s policy, client, legislative and other requirements to which the Company subscribes.
  • • Manage and continually improve energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and consumption for managed vessel Operations.
  • • Investigate accident, work related illness, nearmisses, hazardous occurences, equipment failure and non-conformities; implementing corrective and preventive measures while looking for opportunities for continual improvement.
  • • Promote awareness of our commitment to health, safety and the protection of the environment by encouraging clients, employees and contractors to participate in the Company’s best practices of Behaviour Based Safety and environmentally sound ship recycling.
